Seniors of any age may receive an ID card if they wish. These ID cards are for identification, only, and are not meant for driving purposes.
In some states, a regular ID card can be valid for up to eight years, and a senior citizen ID card can be valid for years. A retired military identification card also qualifies. Step Request the paperwork for the senior discount card and fill out any forms that are required.

For seniors who are turning 6 please ensure that your application is received by TransitLink at least two (2) weeks before your 60th birthday in order to receive your concession card before your th birthday. Applicants for a Victorian Seniors Card only (i.e. not Seniors Business Discount Card) can also pick up an application from your local library. It’s well known that senior citizens can receive discounts when they are using public transport. Often, if you’re over the age of you can actually ride buses, trollies, and subway systems for free.
But, again, there isn’t a nation-wide issued card that you need to use to claim these discounts. PAssion Silver Concession Card holders can enjoy concessionary fares when travelling on public buses and train services. It will, however, continue to be used to prove identity and age.
