Business visas are processed within 8-months with the exception of the Investor (plus) category, which is usually handled within months or less. Variation of conditions on work and student visas usually take 3-weeks to process.

Appealing against a partner visa refused at the AAT. You can appeal your partner visa refusal at the Administrative Appeals Tribunal (AAT). The ‘decision record’.

Immigration will notify you of the partner visa refusal. In the letter it will state how long you have to appeal the decision.

This is days from the date of the letter. The visa applicant applied for a review. The Form 888s are an important part of the Partner visa application. It is extremely important that the information written on the form is consistent with the rest of your de facto visa application.

You need to check and check and check again! Keep in mind that the Form 888s are notwritten by you or your partner. If the information written on the form is inconsistent with what you had stated in your application – it will be an issue.

It’s important that the supporting witness answer the questions on the Form 8correctly. For example, one of the questions on the form asks if they believe the relationship is genuine and why. Can my parent get a parent visa to Australia? If you applied for a different parent visa , but we have not made a decision about that visa , you must withdraw that application at the same time that you apply for this visa. What is a contributory aged parent visa? The non-contributory visa category includes regular sponsored parent , aged parent , carers and remaining relative visas. Applying for the subclass 8visa and then the subclass 8visa allows you to spread the cost of the visas over a number of years.

There are two types of non-contributory parent visa. One is for parents under the pension age in Australia (currently years old) and the other is for parents over the pension age. The difference is that the aged parent visa (subclass 804) can be applied for within Australia , which means you can be granted a bridging visa that will let you stay in Australia while your application is in the queue.

If the applicant is under 6 they will apply for a parent visa , however on application of a parent visa , there is no bridging visa granted.
