Temporary changes to Queensland ’s tenancy laws to protect tenants during the coronavirus crisis will be introduced to parliament on Wednesday. The Real Estate Institute of Queensland (REIQ) initially slammed the measures, saying tenants were being protected at the expense of landlords. But the REIQ has now backed the new proposals.
