Choose from the list below, making sure you include at least one document from Group A. The following documents are able to be used to represent 1points of ID.

It is important to note that one of your identification documents must include your photo and your current address. If you do not possess a document that includes your photo, then you can submit a passport style photograph that has been certified by an appropriate person. Additionally, 1point checking also applies in superannuation.

Members are required to provide 1points of ID when applying to transfer their accumulation funds (receiving monies) to a pension-based fund (paying monies). Reporting entities are required to identify their customers using the 1point check system. Providing 1points of identification.

Call first or drop in to your local Australia Post. Most of them have people who are able to certify your documents. Even if they cannot certify them, they will be able to help 1. At certain stages of the application process, for approval as a higher education provider and VET provider, you will be asked to produce ‘certified documents”. These are copies of important documents which need to be certified as true copies of the originals by a person authorised to do so. The new process allows more people to certify a copy.

To find out who can certify a copy of a document , go to the List of people authorised to certify copies of original documents. Please note that copies of documents cannot currently be certified remotely. This must occur in person. For online application forms, certified copies of documents can be uploaded with your online application.

Any documents containing a photograph (e.g. a passport , driver’s licence, etc.) must be certified by an Authorised Officer with the statement ‘I certify that this is a true copy of the original and the photograph is a true likeness of the person presenting the document as sighted by me. (more…)
